April 30 marked the one-year anniversary of losing our dear family friend, Sandy Ray. Adler and I wrote a message on a balloon and let it go around 5:30 pm. It was appropriately rainy and grey, but as we looked up, the balloon floated to the only blue and sunny patch in the sky. How fitting.
