Green beans & sippy cups

Hold on tigggggght!

And again!

Toes in warm sunlight

I am coming to the conclusion we should've named Adler "Chad, Jr." -- maybe even C.J. for short. The kid has got a true mechanical mind. The other night at dinner, he decided he'd had enough of his green beans. We are really working on keeping food from spraying off the table in a flurry of arm sweeps. He decided to pry off his sippy cup lid and drop the green beans into his cup of water. Will they float? Will they sink? Will this piece of meat affect the velocity of fluid dynamics? He pulled out one bean to see if it made a difference, then dropped in more meat. This entertained him for some time—enough for Chad and I to actually finish our meal which was a bonus!
The sun keeps poking out its head to tease us. Yesterday we walked to the park and were entertained by the slide and swings while a constant stream of joggers and bicyclists headed down Willamette Blvd.  We revel in the fact that it got up to 54 degrees in Portland yesterday, but the sunshine on our faces after a dreary winter makes it feel like we are on vacation in Palm Beach. Our 54-degree days in Chico would've meant heavy coats and constant "brrrrrs!" For now, we'll take it!
